Fair Lawn NJ 2nd Alm, 7-51 Westmoreland Ave. 03-26-12

Fair Lawn Fire Dept responded on a general alarm for a reported house fire, while enroute co's were advised of heavy smoke and fire reported to be showing, a chief officer then reported a large column of smoke visible in the area. Co's arrived to find an outside fire which spread up the D side of the 2.5 story frame dwelling and into the attic. An aggressive interior attack had all visible fire extinguished within 20 minutes and the fire was under control in 30 minutes. Mutual aid from Glen Rock and Hawthorne responded to the scene with additional mutual aid for cover.
