New Milford NJ 2nd Alm, 553 Windsor Rd, 04-09-12

New Milford Fire Dept was dispatched at around 16:45 for a possible house fire in the area of Windsor Rd & Duke Rd, on arrival of the PD units they confirmed a working fire at 553 Windsor Rd, a 2 story frame private dwelling, Oradell FD was dispatched for their tower as New Milford's was out of service. On arrival of the chief, heavy fire was venting from a front picture window and heavy smoke was pushing from the rest of the home, a 2nd alarm was requested bring mutual aid to the scene from River Edge, Dumont and Bergenfield. The heavy fire was knocked down in under 10 minutes and the fire was under control in 30. Co's remained on the scene for a few more hours overhauling and there were no injuries reported.
