Paterson NJ 3rd Alarm+ 121 Pearl St, 01-12-13
At just after 4:30pm on January 12th, 2013, Paterson Fire Alarm began receiving multiple calls for a fire in the area of Pearl St & Carroll St, immediately after dispatch, both BC-1 and BC-2 reported heavy smoke in the area of the box. On arrival the original fire building, a 2 story flat roofed dwelling was well involved with extension into exposures B, B-1 and D and reports of occupants trapped, a 2nd alarms was sounded followed by a 3rd alarm 4 minutes later bringing all on duty Paterson units as well as mutual aid to the scene. The fire destroyed the original fire building and heavily damaged 4 others, several FF's suffered minor injuries and the fire took @2 hours to get under control by over 100 FF's, all occupants were later accounted for and the cause is under investigation.
