Totowa NJ 3rd alm, 70 Lincoln Ave, 02-22-13

At just after 9:30pm on February 22nd, 2013, Totowa Fire Dept was dispatched to a reported house fire at 70 Lincoln Ave, on arrival of the chief, heavy fire was venting from a 1st floor window on the B side towards the rear extending into the 2nd floor with heavy smoke from the rest of the home, a 2nd alarm was sounded followed by a 3rd alarm as fire was in the walls and rapidly extending into the attic. An aggressive interior attack had the main body of fire knocked down quickly however as it appeared the fire was being brought under control conditions rapidly deteriorated on the 2nd floor but with a continued interior attack the fire was kept in check and brought under control in a little over an hour. No injuries were reported and mutual aid from West Paterson, Paterson, Cedar Grove, Hawthorne and Wayne operated on the scene.
