Teaneck NJ 2nd alarm, 760 River Rd, 12-06-16
On December 6th, 2016 Teaneck NJ Fire Dept responded to a reported house fire at around 21:40 hours, Engine 2 arrived and reported heavy smoke showing from the 1-1/2 story frame dwelling, and located heavy fire in the basement. A 2nd alarm was requested which brought mutual aid from Hackensack, Englewood and Bogota to the scene with additional mutual aid for cover. Several hand lines were put into operation as heavy smoke was showing from the eves, windows and roof, interior units reported fire traveling the walls and fire briefly broke out from the front porch ceiling but was quickly knocked down. The main body of fire was knocked down in just over 30 minutes and the fire was placed under control after about an hour. 1 firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and the cause of the fire is believed to be a faulty electrical breaker panel in the basement.
