Paterson NJ 3rd alm, 34 & 36 Auburn St. 10-31-17

At just after 0200 hours on October 21st 2017, Paterson PD & FD started receiving numerous calls for a building fire on Auburn St & Godwin Ave, an area well known for its high crime and fires. Battalion 3 arrived and found heavy fire involving 2 vacant 2.5 story frame dwellings at #34 & 36 Auburn St and immediately requested a 2nd alarm. Due to the heavy fire conditions co's immediately went into a defensive attack setting up 2 aerial streams, 1 deck gun and numerous exterior hand lines. At 0223 Deputy 4, DC Fleming requested a 3rd alarm for manpower. After a partial roof collapse of #36 and numerous lines in operation Deputy 4 reported the main body of fire knocked down at 0315 and placed the fire under control at 0345. No injuries were reported.
