Teaneck NJ 2nd alarm, 1427 Aspen Terrace, 04-23-17

At 09:35 on April 23rd 2017, Teaneck Fire Dept respond to 1427 Aspen Terrace for a reported house fire. Upon arrival of Battalion 2, he reported a 2 story frame private dwelling fully involved with live wires down in the street. A 2nd alarm was requested bringing the remaining engine as well as an engine from Englewood and a ladder from Hackensack to the scene, a recall of off duty members and mutual aid co's for cover. E-1 arrived and immediately put a 2.5" attack line into service knocking down the bulk of the fire and allowing co's to advance into the building. With the roof opened up, additional lines were stretched to hit pockets of fire throughout the building. All searches were negative, the homeowners evacuated prior to FD arrival and the fire was placed under control at approximately 10:45 hours.
