1. 2018 Fires

Bronx NY 4th alarm, 240 E. 194 St. 01-30-18

Firefighters in the 7th division of the Bronx have had their for the last couple of months with numerous fires and multiple alarms. On January 30th, 2018 co's were at it again when they responded to box 3379 for a report of a fire at 240 E. 194 St. Co's arrived and found a fire on the 4th floor of a 6 story brick 100 X 100 OMD. BC 27 transmitted the all hands at 23:17 quickly follows by a 2nd alarm at 23:22 as lines were being stretched and primary searches underway. At 23:29 the 3rd alarm was requested by Division 7, units on the roof were reporting heavy fire in the cockloft. Hand lines were stretched to the 4th , 5th and 6th floors and the cockloft nozzle was put into operation on the roof as co's continued to report fire on the top 3 floors and cockloft. At 23:47 Div.7 requested the 4th alarm be struck, several additional truck co's were special called above the 4th alarm. All visible fire was reported knocked down at 00:26 and the fire was placed under control at 02:15. A 10-41 Code was was transmitted, possible suspicious fire, due to it being unable to determine the cause of the fire. 1 civilian and 2 firefighters suffered minor injuries, over 40 occupants were displaced.
