Jersey City NJ 4th alarm, 1004 Summit Ave. 10-21-18
At around 13:25 on October 21st, 2018 Jersey City Fire Dept transmitted the box for a reported building fire at 1004 Summit Ave. 1st arriving co's reported a working fire on the 1st floor rear of a 3 stroy frame OMD extending up. An additional 2 engines and 1 truck were requested to the scene quickly followed by a full 2nd alarm. Numerous lines were stretched into the building as the trucks searched and vented the roof. The co's on the roof reported to command that the fire had extended into the cockloft at which time a 3rd alarm was transmitted. With numerous lines operating and fire reported on all floors a 4th alarm was requested for manpower. 8 lines were put into operation and co's started making good progress and the fire was placed PWH at around 14:15. At @14:50 the fire was placed under control and commad started releasing co's.
