Paterson NJ 2nd alarm, 757 E. 27 St. 10-02-18
At just around 03:20 on October 2nd 2018, Paterson NJ Fire Dispatch received calls for a possible fire at 757 E. 27th St. Some of the assigned co's had just cleared an activated alarm and arrived quickly to find a well involved abandoned 2.5 story frame. Due to exposure issues a 2nd alarm was quickly requested. Several 2.5" handlines and 1 tower ladder were put into operation and had all visible fire knocked down in under an hour. The same building had been the scene of another 2nd alarm fire in August of 2017 which had pretty much burned to roof off the attic. After extensive overhaul the fire was placed under control at 05:10 and is considered suspicious.
