Upper Saddle River NJ 3rd alarm, 3 Stevenson Lane, 03-28-18
Just prior to 19:00 on March 28th 2018, Upper Saddle River Fire Dept was toned out for a reported house fire at 3 Stevenson Lane. While enroute Chief Larry Rauch was advised that the PD was on the scene and reported the home to be fully involved, he also noted a large column of smoke from the vicinity and requested a 2nd alarm. On arrival, the home, a large unoccupied 2 story frame (it appeared to be under renovation) was completely involved in fire. There are no hydrants in the area so a tanker shuttle was established and Ramsey's tower ladder was set up and put into service. Within 45 minutes the entire home collapsed and was a burning pile of rubble with the exception of the garage on the delta side. Additional co's were requested equaling a 3rd alarm. The fire was placed under control shortly after 20:00, 1 firefighter was treated for a minor injury and the cause is under investigation.
