Ho-Ho-Kus NJ 3rd alarm, 4 Sycamore Ave. 11-21-19
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ Firefighters made a great stop in the early hours of November 21st, 2019. Initially dispatched to an activated fire alarm at 4 Sycamore Ave. a little after 2am, companies arrived to find smoke showing from Cafe Amici in the 1 story taxpayer. Upon gaining entry a working fire was discovered in the kitchen area and as lines were being stretched, Chief of Dept. Keith Rosazza transmitted the 2nd alarm. Several hand lines were in operation as the trucks opened up the roof and reported fire traveling the cockloft. A 3rd alarm was requested to the scene with additional mutual aid responding for cover. Due to quick truck work opening up and well placed attack lines, the fire was quickly knocked down with limited extension and the fire was placed under control at 03:20.
