Fairfield NJ 3rd alarm, 438 Fairfield Rd. 01-04-20
No animals or employees were injured when a fire broke out just after 21:00 at the Fairfield Animal Hospital at 438 Fairfield Rd. on 1-4-20. On arrival of the fire department, crews reported fire already through the roof and immediately requested mutual aid to the scene and for cover. Several hand lines were stretched into the structure as the trucks went to the roof for top side ventilation. With the fire continuing to spread in the cockloft, command requested a 3rd alarm bringing additional mutual aid co's to the scene. After a very labor intensive attack pulling ceilings from below and opening up the roof, the fire was placed under control at approximately 23:05 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
