Englewood Cliffs NJ 2nd alarm, 16 Barbara Dr. 11-07-21
Englewood Cliffs firefighters with assistance from several mutual aid co's averted a disaster when the responded to a working fire at 16 Barbara Dr. just around 21:00 on November 7th, 2021. The call originated as an automatic fire alarm which the homeowner attempted to cancel the FD response, however when police officers arrived they discovered a working fire in the attached garage with heavy fire showing. Command ordered a 2nd alarm quickly after arrival as companies worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading through out the 5000+ square foot home. The main body of fire was quickly knocked down however gasoline from at lease one of the two vehicles in the garage kept re-igniting. Foam lines were placed into operation and a foam pumper from Ft. Lee was special called. The fire was placed under control in a little over an hour with no injuries.
