Fairview NJ 2nd alarm+, 165 Broad Ave. 04-28-21

At just before 19:00 on April 28th, 2021, Fairview NJ Fire Dept. along with automatic mutual aid from Cliffside Park responded to 165 Broad Ave. for a building fire. On arrival co's were faced with heavy smoke and fire showing from a 1 story ordinary commercial building approximately 60'X150'. A 2nd alarm was quickly requested bringing additional mutual aid co's to the scene. Several hand lines were stretched into the building as trucks worked on ventilation and opened the roof. 1 additional engine and 1 additional ladder along with the Hackensack FD mask service unit were special called above the 2nd alarm. Co's were successful in keeping the fire from spreading through out the building and keeping the majority of the fire to the area of origin. No injuries were reported and the fire was under control in approximately 90 minutes.
