Hackensack NJ 2nd alm+, 99 Fair St. 04-03-22

At around 08:15 on April 3rd, 2022 Hackensack Fire Department responded to 99 Fair St for a reported house fire. While enroute Deputy 4 reported he had a column of smoke visible. On arrival companies were confronted with a 2 family 2-1/2 story wood frame dwelling with heavy smoke pushing from the 2nd floor and attic and visible fire showing from 2 windows on the C/D corner on the 2nd floor. A 2nd alarm was requested all companies went to work. Mutual aid from Teaneck, Englewood and Bogota responded to the scene while additional mutual aid covered the city. In all 5 hand lines were out into operation as the fire extended into the attic. The fire was placed under control after 90 minutes, one firefighter and one occupant suffered minor injuries. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
