Hackensack NJ W/F, 16 Cambridge Terrace. 06-17-22

At around 22:15 on June 17th 2022, Hackensack NJ Engine 2 was dispatched for an outside smoke condition in the area of Summit Ave & Thompson St. On arrival Lt. Parisik requested the box be filled out for a heavy smoke condition in the area from an unknown source. The remainder of the 1st alarm was dispatched as E-2 continued to search for the obvious fire. The fire desk received an additional call through HPD of a garage fire behind 16 Cambridge Terrace and E-2 responded to that location and confirmed a working fire in a garage located in the center of a row of about 20, all with a common attic space. Heavy fire was venting through the roof as 2 lines were stretched and the ladder gained entry. The fire was quickly knocked down with minor extension into the garages on each side but the fire was kept from spreading through out the row. Deputy 3 placed the fire U/C in approximately 45 minutes.
