Belleville NJ 2nd alarm, 141 Floyd St 01-11-15
January 11th, 2015, at around 18:20, Belleville NJ Fire Dept responded to a reported house fire at 141 Floyd St. on arrival companies found a working fire in the attic of a 2-1/2 story frame dwelling, An interior attack commenced but the attic became untenable and fire was also showing on the 2nd floor in the rear forcing command to pull all members out and go to a defensive attack. After it appeared the main body of fire was knocked down, companies re-entered the building but the fire was in the walls and in numerous voids in the attic and command was forced to pull everyone out a 2nd time. After hitting the fire again from the outside with numerous hand lines, a deck gun and a ladder pipe, companies finally got the upper hand and went back in to complete extinguishment. The fire was under control after an approximately 2 hour fight and no injuries were reported.
