Bogota NJ 2nd alarm, 327 Orchard Terr. 04-10-15

At just around 04:00 on April 10th, Bogota Fire Dept responded to 327 Orchard Terrace for a reported house fire called in by a passing patrol car. A 2nd alarm was transmitted on arrival of the chief for heavy fire venting out the windows on the 1st floor C-D corner of the 2-1/2 story frame house, the home was unoccupied as it was almost completed in a renovation project. Mutual aid from Teaneck, Hackensack and Ridgefield Park responded to the scene to assist and had the fire knocked down in approximately 30 minutes. Companies remained on the scene for several hours overhauling and extension was kept to a minimum outside of the kitchen, the original fire room. No injuries were reported and the fire is believed to have been caused by oily rags left in the kitchen.
