Paterson NJ 4th alarm, 327 Hamilton Ave. 06-30-15
At approximately 23:25 hours on June 30th, 2015, Paterson NJ Fire dept responded for a reported house at 327 Hamilton Ave, while enroute BC-2 reported smoke visible from quarters several blocks away. On arrival companies encountered heavy fire in a 2-1/2 story frame dwelling extending into both exposures B & D, similar 2-1/2 story frames. A 2nd alarm was requested as companies set up master streams and worked on protecting exposures. Due to the fire conditions, companies went to an exterior attack on the main fire building and the B exposure however, despite heavy fire in the attic of the D exposure, companies maintained an aggressive interior attack on that structure. The fire eventually went to 4 alarms with mutual aid companies covering the city and assisting at the scene and with the use of 1 ladder pipe, 1 deck gun several ground monitors and numerous hand lines the main body of fire was knocked down by 00:45 hours companies hitting hot spots and was declared under control not too long after. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
